Williams Grove Baptist Church
Reverend Kirby Jones was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel, in April 1993; and has been in Pastoral Ministry since 1998. Since February 2001 he has served as the Pastor of Williams Grove Baptist Church, in Raleigh, NC. As the Shepherd of Williams Grove, Pastor Jones has tirelessly preached and taught the Word of God; and the people of Williams Grove have grown in spiritual strength and maturity.
Pastor Jones is currently the Moderator of the Wake Missionary Baptist Association, and sits on its Executive Board, and Ordination Council. As well, he is on the General Board of the General Baptist State Convention. Pastor Jones also serves the local community as a member of the Community Reinvestment Act Advisory Council, for First Horizon Bank.
He is also an author. His book, Moments with the King is a collection of devotional essays designed to strengthen Christians in their faith.
Additionally, Pastor Jones is a social entrepreneur. In 2010, he founded The Daniel Center for Math and Science, where he serves as Executive Director. The Daniel Center is a non-profit organization that seeks to narrow the education gap for at-risk youth, specifically in math, science, and technology.
Pastor Jones is the recipient of several honors recognizing his work in the community, including the Time Warner Super Connector Award, Cary Academy’s 2016 Courage Award; the 2018 Salute to Champions Award, the City of Raleigh’s 2018 John Chavis Legacy Award in Education; and he is the recipient of the 2021 Triangle MLK Day Service Award.
Pastor Jones holds an Associates degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute, in Chicago, Illinois.
Last but not least, he is married to the former Ms. Lenee Flemmings, and together they have seven wonderful children, and three lovely grandchildren.
